ISTANBUL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY'S ECOLOGY REPORT

Summary of technical report concerning determination and evaluation of noise level of the operating machines, prepared for Toya Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

This report is realized according to the Regulation of Revolving Fund Management by Asst. Professor Dr. Atilla ALTAY the member of the section of Ecology Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The summary of the writing of Civil Engineering No. 10301 date 03.12.1991:

Measurements has been made together with members of Turkish Standardization Institute, Mrs. Nurdan ÇALIŞKAN and Mr. Sami ÖZTÜRK in “SİTE BAKERY” in Küçükköy to determine the environmental noise level of the bakery machines produced by Toya Makina Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Result of Measurement:

Separate noise measurements were made during working hours for PEKÇO-AR Single and Double Rack Ovens and other bakery machineries produced by Toya Makina Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş, for operating and inoperative conditions of these machinery. Besides, also noise level measurement was made complete machinery system was in the operation.

Evaluation:

The measurements were made in two bakeries in different parts of the city and all the bakery machinery were produced by Toya Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

During the noise level measurements, noise level for the whole system were found to be below 33 dBA. This noise level is the acceptable range of the Regulations Noise Level for Small Sized Industrial Factories. This is an acceptable value. Also, the noise level values found were much bellow the ranges given in the same regulation.

As a result the noise levels of the machinery produced by Toya Makina Sanayii ve Ticaret A:Ş. Are below the values given by the Noise Control Regulation and they are at the level stated in TS 2726 where understandable talking can be carried on.
